KMC meets 80 percent of its annual revenue target in 11 months of the current FY

KATHMANDU, June 19: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) collected revenue worth over Rs 8 billion in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year.

KATHMANDU, June 19: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) collected revenue worth over Rs 8 billion in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year.



The metropolis had set a revenue collection target of Rs 10.41 billion for the fiscal year 2022/23. The actual collection stood at 80.20 percent of the targeted amount.

According to the KMC, it earned revenue of Rs 4.80 billion from its internal sources. A total of Rs 1.58 billion was collected through tax distribution, while Rs 1.96 billion was received from an internal grant.


Likewise, the KMC collected Rs 4.81 million from the property tax and Rs 9.74 million from the house rent tax. It collected Rs 25.27 million through VAT.
