Prakriti Lamsal's body handed over to her family

The university's founder, Prof Achyuta Samanta, had met with Consular officials Sanjeev Sharma Das and Nabin Adhikari from the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi. During this meeting, discussions were held on ensuring justice for Lamsal.
On Sunday, a 20-year-old Prakriti was found dead in her hostel room. She had reportedly filed a complaint with the International Relations Office (IRO), but the administration had not taken appropriate action.
Following the death of Lamsal, students protested outside the university after the incident, accusing the administration of negligence. However, the university forcibly evicted Nepali students from the hostel and dispersed them to various locations, citing student protests.
At least 111 Nepali students have already returned home through the Birgunj border following the tension at the college. The university has even written an email to their parents asking them to bring them back.
