Earlier on April 1, the committee had issued him a warning for misusing the party’s letterhead to release an unauthorized statement. However, despite the warning, Khadka again issued a press statement on April 13 claiming responsibilities he does not hold, using a fake party letterhead.
The committee concluded that the act violated the party’s statute. As per Article 34, Sub-clause 8 (d) of the Nepali Congress statute (with amendments), the party has now decided to seek a written clarification from him within seven days.
