Khum Bahadur Khadka takes lead in NC CWC vote count

KATHMANDU, March 9: Khum Bahadur Khadka is leading the Nepali Congress (NC) Central Working Committee (CWC) members (open category) vote count as election committee completed 150 votes count on Wednesday evening.

Khadka is leading the vote count with 94 votes while his nearest contenders Prakash Man Singh and Dr Shekar Koirala are trailing with 90 and 89 votes respectively.Meanwhile, Bimalendra Nidhi (88 votes), Pradeep Giri (87 votes), Mahesh Acharya (87 votes), Bal Krishna Khand (86 votes), Kul Bahadur Gurung (85 votes) and Purna Bahadur Khadka (84 votes) are in the top ten list in first 150 votes count.

90 contenders are contesting for 25 CWC members posts. The final results of the open category are expected by next two days, the election committee said on Wednesday.
