KATHMANDU, Sept 3: Top flight football club Samsung Jawalakhel Youth Club has once again been embroiled in a dispute after Bhaktaraj Rajkarnikar was declared the coordinator of the club by a special general assembly on Saturday, dissolving the old committee.

The special general assembly of the club dissolved the committee led by Thulobhai KC and gave Rajkarnikar the responsibility of conducting the election within the next three months.[break]

The meeting has also authorized him to expand his committee by 7-9 members until Sunday. However, KC committee General Secretary Manomohan KC termed the decision "illegal".

A special general assembly held three years ago had formed an ad hoc committee under KC´s leadership with the mandate of conducting election within six months.

"This special general assembly as the KC committee was reluctant to hold election for the past three years," Rajkarnikar said, adding, "The club statute states that the advisory committee can takeover the club´s management in such situations. I got the responsibility of holding election through consensus decision."

Rajkarnikar clarified that he took over the club´s responsibility to end the dispute in the club. "I have got three months for election and if I get support from all the election will be conducted on time.

In case if we fail to hold the election on time, the general assembly has authorized the commitee to extend the election deadline. I will leave no stone unturned to hold the election on time."
