The 144-megawatt capacity project resumed operation after 27 hours.Project Chief Shreeram Pandey informed that the project that was closed since 11:30 am on Sunday, resumed operation from 3:05 pm this afternoon.
“There is no more danger now,” he said, “The water flow has returned to normal.”
He added that the current flow of the river is at 140 cumec (cubic meter per second). The project is currently generating 120 megawatts of power.
The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) incurred loss worth Rs 21.6 million due to closure of the project.
