Actress Pooja Bedi's tweet about 'evil stepmother' Parveen Dusanjh has prompted an angry reaction from her father, actor Kabir Bedi. Mr Bedi married Ms Dusanjh, his fourth wife, on January 15. Pooja Bedi's response was to write "Every fairytale has a wicked witch or an evil stepmother, mine just arrived" in a tweet that she later deleted.
Despite tweeting an apology of sorts later, Pooja's original comment has roused her father to fury. The Sandokan star, 70, issued a sharp rebuke on Twitter:
Pooja Bedi, 45, is Kabir Bedi's daughter with first wife Protima. He married longtime partner Parveen Dusanjh, 41, in a private ceremony at Alibaug, outside Mumbai, a day before turning 70. The actor, who had a small role in 2015's Dilwale, has been married three times before, to late dancer Protima, British designer Susan Humphreys and actress-TV personality Nikki Bedi. He was also reported to be in a relationship with actress Parveen Babi, though they never married.
