BHADRAPUR, Dec 29: Jhapa district divided into 15 local level units has been declared an Open Defecation Free district.
The announcement was official made by Deputy Speaker at the House of Representatives Dr Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe at a special function held at the Mechi Stadium in Chandragadhi, Bhadrapur on Friday.
A total of 39,287 toilets have been constructed in the 15 local level units in Jhapa, according to chair of the district drinking water, sanitation and hygiene coordination committee Somnath Portel.

At the function, four media persons and various organizations contributing to make Jhapa an ODF district were honoured.
