Jazeera, Thai AirAsia to resume flights from Bhairahawa airport

Stating that the operation of air flights is linked to the country's GDP, he said that the number of people going to other airports as an alternative to the Tribhuvan International Airport will be few and far between as long as it is voluntary.

KATHMANDU, Jan 22: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) Director General Pradeep Adhikari has said that Jazeera and Thai AirAsia will resume flights from the Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) in Bhairahawa from February 3.


Speaking at a meeting of the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee on Tuesday, he gave this information. Adhikari said that Nepal Airlines and Flydubai are still operating flights from the GBIA. He said that Himalaya Airlines is taking initiatives for Pokhara-Lhasa flights from the Pokhara Regional International Airport.
