KATHMANDU, Nov 17: In the opening match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), defending champions Janakpur Bolts posted a target of 131 runs for Kathmandu Gorkhaz.
At the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Janakpur batted first after losing the toss and scored 130 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Janakpur’s start was shaky. While opener Aasif Sheikh anchored the innings with an impressive half-century, the team struggled to post a big total due to regular wicket losses from the other end.
Aasif contributed a crucial 54 runs off 41 balls, including six fours and one six.
