Sixty-seven athletes from over eighteen countries are participating in the long-distance running competition.[break]
The finishing point of the marathon is Palamajhuwa or Rimbik, across the border in Darjeeling, India. The marathon will be run on 100 miles distance.
The contestants have arrived in Sandakpur after passing through Manebhanjyang, Meghma, Tumling and Gauribas. They had reached Falot of Panchthar district on Tuesday.
It is said this marathon the main objective of which is entertainment has been organized after a gap of 21 years. However, no Nepali athlete is participating in the marathon.
