KATHMANDU, Jan 29: A three-month-old infant has been killed in Ishma Rural Municipality-2, Chhalditar, Gulmi. Police have arrested the infant’s father, 46-year-old Santa Bahadur Kumal, on charges of murder.
According to the District Police Office, Gulmi, preliminary investigation shows that Kumal, who was intoxicated, threw the infant onto the ground, causing death on the spot. The incident came to light after the victim’s elder daughter informed the Hastichaur Police Post.

A police team led by an assistant sub-inspector reached the scene and took the accused into custody. Police said a separate team under the command of a police inspector has been deployed from the District Police Office for further investigation.
