The Nepali Embassy has also informed that they were already en route to Butwal.

A few days ago, Minister for Foreign Affairs Arzu Rana Deuba made a formal request to India to evacuate Nepali citizens stranded in Iran due to the escalating tension between Iran and Israel.

The Indian government had agreed to that request.

According to the ministry, a total of 16 Nepalis were in Iran. There are now 14 Nepalis in the war-torn country. Of them, five are currently in jail due to immigration-related issues. The Ministry has been making efforts to secure their release and facilitate their return home.
