MYAGDI, March 7: Mahabir Pun, former Minister for Education, Science and Technology, has been elected to the House of Representatives (HoR) from Myagdi as an independent candidate.

According to the Office of the Chief Election Officer, Pun won the seat by securing 28,850 votes. His closest competitor, Hari Krishna Shrestha of the CPN-UML, received 7,919 votes, while Karna Bahadur Bhandari of the Nepali Congress secured 6,884 votes, and Arjun Thapa of the Nepali Communist Party received 3,529 votes.
Out of 86,397 registered voters in the constituency, 46,215 cast their votes in Thursday’s election.
