KATHMANDU, June 14: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, claimed he never told party leader Janardan Sharma to leave the party. Speaking to journalists at Biratnagar Airport today, Dahal made the assertion himself.
He accused the media of publishing statements he never made. "I never told Janardan Sharma to leave the party," he said. "They wrote things I never even said."

Dahal clarified that the party lifted the obstruction in Parliament because obstructing it further would have blocked the passage of essential laws. "We lifted the obstruction to avoid complications in passing crucial laws like the Education Bill and the Nijgadh Airport Bill," he explained.
He denied making any deal with the ruling coalition or the Nepali Congress (NC) to improve relations. He also refuted the allegation that he exchanged favors in connection with Agni Sapkota's court case. "The allegation that I traded a visit visa scandal with Agni Sapkota’s case is completely false," he said.
When asked whether the Maoist party had compromised its position by aligning with the government, Dahal dismissed the claim. He said that similar agreements had happened in the past and no one had surrendered or been used.
