KATHMANDU, Sept 8: The House of Representatives has endorsed the Financial Ordinance, 2078 BS amid protests by the lawmakers belonging to the main opposition CPN-UML. This paves the way for the government to introduce new budget through Substitution Bill.
Finance Minister Janardan Sharma tabled the ordinance in the House even as the lawmakers belonging to the main opposition party tried to obstruct him from tabling the ordinance. The ordinance was endorsed by a majority of members through voice votes.
