HoR meeting postponed until Tuesday

KATHMANDU, June 8: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been postponed until Tuesday after opposition parties obstructed proceedings, demanding that Prime Minister Balendra Shah withdraw his statement on the border issue and issue an apology.



According to Federal Parliament Secretariat Secretary General Padma Prasad Pandey, the session has been rescheduled for Tuesday at 1 PM.

Earlier, the House meeting was disrupted and adjourned for 15 minutes after opposition lawmakers ignored Speaker DP Aryal’s appeal to allow proceedings to continue.


As no agreement was reached between the Speaker and opposition leaders, the meeting was postponed until Tuesday.
