High-level Good Governance Commission's first meeting held

The meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office in Singha Durbar discussed the purpose of forming the commission, determining the scope of work, and the priority agenda.

KATHMANDU, June 18: The High-level Good Governance Commission held its maiden meeting today. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.


The meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office in Singha Durbar discussed the purpose of forming the commission, determining the scope of work, and the priority agenda.

The second full meeting will be held next week to promptly nominate representatives from political parties, experts, and the private sector. 


The Cabinet meeting on April 21 formed a 15-member commission under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Oli.


Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ajay Kumar Chaurasiya, and Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Rajkumar Gupta among others are in the commission.
