Gurung, who had completed the first 18 holes with five-over 72 on Tuesday, took a turn with two-over 35 and finished the back nine with four-over 38 on Wednesday. [break]
Dipendra Rayamajhi shot seven-over 74 on Wednesday to stay in the second position with a total score of 14-over 148.
Saroj Rana Magar carded six-over 73 to remain in the third position with a total of 16-over 150.
Om Thakuri, who had shot 13-over 80 on Tuesday, produced the best card of Wednesday. He is in the fourth position after completing the second round with five-over 72.
Bishnu KC submitted a card of 10-over 77 on Wednesday and shared the fifth position with Kamal Thapa. KC and Thapa each have a total score of 153.
Altogether 21 golfers are competing in the Qualifying School. Nepal Professional Golfers Association (NPGA) came up with the idea of Qualifying School for the first time for Surya Nepal Golf Tour.
Players finishing in the top 5 after 54 holes will earn pro-card. Players who fail to make it to the top 5 but have scores of 18 over par for 54 holes will also earn pro-card.
