KATHMANDU, March 11: The government and the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF), which has been protesting against the new constitution, are scheduled to hold talks at 6 pm on Friday evening. The talks will be held at the Prime Minister’s official residence at Baluwatar.

The talks have been scheduled after a hiatus of over a month after PM Oli requested the Madhesi leaders who had reached Baluwatar to hand him a memorandum to sit for talks.

“UDMF has demanded probe into incidents during the protest. The issue will be at the center stage of the talks,” said Press Advisor to prime minister, Pramod Dahal.

Spokesperson for Rastriya Madhes Samajwadi Party, Keshav Jha told Republica Online that UDMF has geared up for the talks.

“The PM had requested to proceed in a way to resolve the issue while receiving the memo,” he said, “It seems PM Oli is for decisive talks.”
