Govt provides Rs 50m loan to import sugar

KATHMANDU, Sept 20: With the festival season approaching, the government has decided to provide Rs 50 million loan to National Trading Limited to import sugar.



A cabinet meeting on Thursday evening decided to this effect. [break]



Similarly, the government has appointed Hari Prasad Sharma as a chairman of Drinking Water Tariff Fixing Commission for a four-year term.



In yet another decision, the cabinet has decided to waive off the cost of postal stamps required for newspapers´ transportation. .



The cabinet also endorsed visit of Environment, Science and Technology Dr Keshav Man Shakya to participate in Third Green Energy Summit. The summit is scheduled on October 17-19 in South Korea.
