The commission was initially formed on September 21 to investigate the protests held on September 8 and 9. Originally given a three-month deadline, the commission had requested more time as it was unable to complete its work, leading to a first extension of one month and a second extension of 20 days.
With the latest 25-day extension, the commission is now expected to submit its report only after the elections on March 5.
