KATHMANDU, Jan 21: The price of gold in the local market has neared Rs 300,000 per tola today, marking a sharp increase. Compared to Tuesday, gold rose by Rs 10,400 per tola on Wednesday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, hallmarked gold has been fixed at Rs 295,100 per tola today, while silver is priced at Rs 5,920 per tola.
Gold price rises by Rs 1,600 per tola to set new record
On Tuesday, hallmark gold was traded at Rs 284,700 per tola, while silver was priced at Rs 5,880 per tola.
According to international media reports, gold is trading at USD 4,740 per ounce in the international market today, while silver is trading at USD 95 per ounce.
