KATHMANDU, Oct 9: The price of hallmarked gold rose by Rs 1,200 per tola on Thursday, reaching Rs 239,200, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations (FENEGOSIDA). This marks the highest price recorded so far.
On Wednesday, hallmark gold was traded at Rs 238,000 per tola.
Gold continues hitting new highs
The price of gold in the Nepali market has been consistently reaching new records since September 28. On that day, the price of hallmark gold was Rs 223,200 per tola.
The price of silver has also increased. On Wednesday, silver was traded at Rs 2,955 per tola, while today it is being traded at Rs 3,025 per tola, according to the FENEGOSIDA.
In the international market, gold is being traded at USD 2,055 per ounce today, according to global media reports.
