KATHMANDU, April 23: Govinda Ghimire, who has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NMB Bank, has officially assumed his duties.
With over three decades of experience in the banking sector, he has been associated with NMB Bank for the past 16 years. Having led various departments and branches within the bank, Ghimire previously served as the deputy chief executive officer before taking on the role of CEO.

He has contributed to the bank’s operations in areas such as business, finance, credit risk management, strategic planning, and operational improvements. Upon assuming office on Wednesday, CEO Ghimire expressed his commitment to further strengthening the bank and leading it forward more effectively in the coming days.
“My priority will be on innovation, sustainable partnerships, and inclusive financial services, which will make the bank more impactful and meaningful,” he said. “With the integration of digital technology and fresh perspectives, we will move forward toward bringing sustainable and positive change in collaboration with our customers, communities, and the nation.”
Meanwhile, Sudesh Upadhyaya has assumed the role of Senior Deputy Chief Executive Officer. effective from Wednesday.
