The arrested has been identified as Kritan Khadki aka Satish, 21, of Nayabazaar, Pokhara-9.Neha's dead body was found in Nayagaun last Tuesday morning.
“Khadki, who was arrested a few days ago, has admitted to the crime,” SP Hari Bahadur Pal, the chief of Kaski police said.
According to preliminary investigation of the police, Khadki had spent Monday night consuming alcohol with his friends, including Neha, at a restaurant.
After dining together, Khadki had left the restaurant with Neha on the pretext of dropping her home on the way.
After leaving the restaurant, however, Khadki proposed Neha of spending the night together in a hotel at the Lake Side, which the girl refused, the police said.
“Enraged by her refusal, Khadki banged her head with a helmet after a heated debate,” SP Pal said. He said that Khadki has confessed to the police that he committed the crime after losing temper.
