Four pro-monarchy protestors arrested in Tinkune

The barricade was set up to prevent protesters from entering a restricted area. After clashes broke out, the police used tear gas and batons to control the situation.

KATHMANDU, March 28: Police have arrested four protesters from Tinkune during the ongoing protest by pro-monarchy groups.


According to police, they were detained after attempting to break through a barricade set up on the road leading to New Baneshwor. The barricade was set up to prevent protesters from entering a restricted area. After clashes broke out, the police used tear gas and batons to control the situation.

During the protest, the protesters damaged the windows of several private houses in Tinkune and set one house on fire.
