BIRATNAGAR, Dec 14: Nepali Congress (NC) leader and former minister Amod Prasad Upadhyay has passed away.
Upadhyay, who had remained inactive in politics in recent years, died late last night at the age of 92. A permanent resident of Biratnagar Metropolitan City–7, he had been suffering from cancer and was undergoing treatment, according to his family.

Condolences over his demise have been expressed by former Koshi Province Chief Minister Kedar Karki, Biratnagar Mayor and NC Morang Vice-President Nagesh Koirala, among others, through social media.
