FNJ collecting info of journalists’ families in quake-hit districts

KATHMANDU, May 5: A team of Federation of Nepalese Journalist (FNJ) during their inspection visit to Sindupalchowk and Kavere has expressed their sympathies to the families of the journalists who have lost their kin in the April 25 earthquake.

The team expressed sympathies to the families of Journalists ---Madhav Dulal, Chitra Mijar and Rabin Shrestha --- who have lost their father, wife and mother respectively in the quake.


The team under the command of Dr. Mahendra Bista, Chairman of FNJ had gone to Chautara on Tuesday.

Chairman of Press Chautari Rajendra Aryal, Press Union Chairman Badri Sigdel, Govinda Acharya of Revolutionary Journalist Association, Press Council Member Sudharsan Acharya, FNJ General Secretary Ujir Magar were among others in the team.

Another team of FNJ under the command of FNJ Vice-Chairman Khila Bahadur Bhandari also inspected Gorkha to know the actual situation of the journalists in the district.

Similarly, On Wednesday one another team is scheduled to leave for Nuwakot, Dhading and Rasuwa to gather information of the journalists in the districts.
