POKHARA, April 1: Police raided an illegal party being held at a secluded house near a forest in Pokhara Metropolitan City-18, Sedi on Monday. During the midnight operation, 38 youths, including both local and foreign nationals, were taken into custody, while authorities plan to file charges against 12 individuals.
According to SP Nabin Karki, the house, owned by Krishna Parajuli, was rented by a group led by Bamendra Pun to host the party.
The raid revealed drug consumption and distribution on site, with substances such as MDMA (methylene dioxy methamphetamine) , hashish , a white powder suspected to be cocaine, a brown powder suspected to be heroin, ice (crystal methamphetamine) , cannabis (marijuana) , psilocybin mushrooms (magic mushrooms), and LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) in both paper and liquid forms. Cash and mobile phones were also seized.
Among those facing drug charges are Indian nationals Sristi Chand (31) and Anubhav Sharma (35), as well as Nepali nationals Bamendra Pun (32), Bishal Pariyar (27), Ashish Darji (25), Saurabh Mahara (29), Nikunj Karki (21), Saksham Koirala (31), Roshan Adhikari (31), Bivek Pariyar (28), and Lok Bahadur Gharti (26). Brazilian citizen Charles Guiva (48) will also face charges.

Police noted that the party involved open sale and consumption of high-level drugs, which is illegal in Nepal. Four other attendees will face charges related to misconduct. The party was reportedly planned to continue for three days.
