Flood-triggered displaced return home

CHITWAN, July 3: At least 80 households displaced by the Narayani River flood in Mangalpur of Chitwan have returned home.



The displaced families came back to their residence after the waterlogged area turned into normalcy, according to the District Disaster Management Committee, Chitwan. [break]



The water flow in the Narayani, Rapti and Rewu rivers have also gone down with the stopping of rain and, thus, locals have felt sigh of relief with this, said flood victim Sabitri Subedi of Divyanagar.



At least 400 locals were displaced because of floods in the Narayani River caused by incessant rain.
