Five missing after landslide hits Myagdi found safe

KATHMANDU, Feb 23: The five people who had gone missing after a dry landslide hit Narchyang at Annapurna South Peak in Myagdi district have come into contact.

According to the District Police Office, Myagdi, the villagers who had gone there to collect reed, were found safe by their relatives.

Myagdi Police Chief DSP Bishwaraj Khadka said that the whereabouts of Tak Bahadur Thajali, Sher Bahadur Thajali, Dil Bahadur Thajali of Narchyang-5 and Hukum Pun and Tar Bahadur Falami of Narchyang-6 was unknown after the landslip.

According to the locals, the dust created by the landslide has reached the nearby VDCs. It has even reached up to Bhurung Tatopani section of the Beni-Jomsom road.
