Vice President Yadav expressed satisfaction over the friendly relations maintained between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1974. He appreciated Finland’s assistance, particularly in the areas of forestry, climate resilience, education, safe drinking water, disaster management, gender equality, and social inclusion.
“Nepal values Finland’s role on global issues such as climate change in multilateral forums,” he said, adding that cooperation between the two nations would continue both bilaterally and multilaterally.
He also noted that Nepal is set to graduate from the LDC category next year and aims to become a middle-income country by 2030.
