KATHMANDU, Jan 17: The Federal Democratic Republican Alliance (FDRA), the grouping dominated by the parties in the government, on Thursday decided to organize a mass meet in Kathmandu on January 30, just a day after the opposition parties’s scheduled anti-government gathering in the capital.

An FDRA secretariat meeting held this morning at the residence of UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who also heads the alliance, took a decision to this effect, according to its spokesperson Prem Bahadur Singh. [break]
