As per the provision, the small farmers are given loan in five per cent interest rate per annum under the youth self-employment programme. Branch Manager of the bank, Kul Bahadur Khatri, said that the bank has invested Rs 20 million for the past five months under the fresh scheme.
Khatri said that a total of 15 persons including six women have taken Rs 1 million to Rs 1.5 million in loan during the period.
Khatri added that the loan was disbursed mainly in poultry farming, piggery, fishery and animal husbandry. RSS
