Some fantastic music have been released in the last two weeks and we’re listing it down for you here on Top Spin. Read on.[break]
Sam and the Womp – Bom Bom
Addictive, that’s the word for Sam and the Womp’s “Bom Bom.” Like Lass Ketchup, Crazy Frog and LMFAO, they are here to make sure that we get our three minutes of guilty pleasure that inevitably is going to climb up the charts here in Kathmandu. A must-listen, even though you really will not understand the lyrics; but you’ll shake to the beats!
Priyanka Chopra featuring Will.i.am – In My City
You read that right! Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has teamed up with Black Eyed Peas singer Will.i.am for her latest album. Trained in Western style classical singing, Piggy Chops is hitting the radio waves in Kathmandu soon. This yet-to-be-released track is already picking up on the Internet and Chopra is all set to hit the world with her music. A perfect dancing track, you’ll definitely enjoy this!

Little Mix – Wings
Jade, Perrie, Jesy, and Leigh-Anne make up Little Mix, the very first group to win The X Factor UK. Formerly known as Rhythmix, their girl-next-door image and contemporary song choices for the performance at the finals saw them outgrow their initial underdog status. In fact, their debut single, a rendition of Damien Rice’s 2003 hit “Cannonball” also topped the UK, Irish and Scottish charts. And following its success is their second single “Wings.”
Enrique Iglesias featuring Sammy Adams – Finally Found You
Latino star Enrique Iglesias loves his feel-good, up-tempo songs so much lately that he’s releasing this new uplifting cut called “Finally Found You” as the first single from his second bilingual and 10th album overall of his career! In this electro/dance-pop number, Iglesias sings about finally finding the perfect girl and features US rapper Sammy Adams. It’s a typical Enrique song.
Ronan Keating – Fires
Believe it or not, the boy from Boyzone is back! Ronan Keating has been through a lot recently, from his band mate and friend Stephen Gately passing away in 2009 to his 13-year marriage collapsing last year. However, such professional and personal turbulence has proved to be suitable inspiration for a powerful, personal comeback set. Perhaps Keating’s objective with the new single “Fires” was to escape any lingering demons, and if that was the case, he’s mostly succeeded.
Bridgit Mendler – Ready or Not
Bridgit Mendler is a 19-year-old actress who’s now trying her hands on singing. Her debut album is called “Hello My name is...” and the first track off the set is “Ready or Not,” a fun peppy offering that proves to be highly infectious. So, ready or not, you should definitely give her music a try.
