KHOTANG, July 4: Former lawmaker Arjun Rai, who was attacked by a gang in Khotang, has been airlifted to Kathmandu from the district headquarters in a helicopter for further treatment on Monday.

Rai is a central committee member of RPP, was taken to the capital for treatment. Ex-lawmaker Rai was thrashed in Hurlung of the district while he was staying at a hotel on his way to Buipa for transporting electric poles for Mewa Khola Hydropower.
