Nepal Country Manager Tapas Neupane says, "The Nepal Innovation Challenge will enlist partners to bring business innovations from across the globe to low-income markets in Nepal. Through this, partners will be able to tap into an opportunity to accelerate innovations in Nepal and create lasting social, environmental and economic impact. We hope together we can tackle the challenges of low-income sectors like sanitation, education, etc."He added that the company is looking to keep away from the long term practice of grant-based projects.
Non-governmental organizations along with private and public sector organizations established for more than five years are eligible to apply for the challenge.
The company aims to develop, fund and execute innovative ideas that are tailored to suit the needs of the community. The ultimate objective is to ensure that these solutions are impactful and sustainable for developing countries.
The selected organizations will benefit from the technical expertise provided by Ennovent who has been working for the last seven years in 15 countries. Each of the selected partners as well as Ennovent will bring with them their network of investors and donors which will give opportunities for the project.
