KATHMANDU, April 30: The Election Commission (EC) is providing election symbols to the parties and individuals who have fielded their candidacy for the local level elections today.
The parties registered with the EC for local level elections will receive their own symbols, while independent candidates will be provided with the symbol by EC itself.

The EC investigated the complaint and published the final list of candidates on Friday. Only the candidates in the list will qualify for the local level election and they will get their election symbol today.
Candidates are allowed to conduct promotional campaigns as soon as they get their election symbol until the start of the silent period. The local level election will be held on May 13.
