SIRAHA, Aug 13: A driver has died in a truck accident in Saptari district.
According to Dundi Raj Neupane, spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), the deceased has been identified as truck driver Sabin Rai, 25, of Urlabari Municipality-1, Morang.

DSP Neupane said that the accident took place at around 6:30 AM on Tuesday when a 12-wheeler truck (Madhesh Pra-03-001 Kha 8181) loaded with clinker and heading to east met with an accident in Sambhunath Municipality-5 along the East-West Highway. The truck veered off the road and fell about 20 meters.
The driver was trapped inside the truck and died on the spot. Efforts are underway to recover the body with the help of a crane.
