He also said he informed the heads of states and foreign affairs ministers of different countries and world community about Nepal´s ongoing peace process and constitution writing based on political consensus.
Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha said that in his address to the conference he proposed the wider scope of democracy as it was linked to peace and development too. Democracy´s ambit should be made wider by linking it to different regions, communities and class, he added.
Shrestha informed the journalists that at the conference he opined for an effective role of the United Nations to strengthen democracy by resolving the crises facing the least developed and developing countries.
On a separate context, the Deputy Prime Minister said that the President cannot reject the budget to be brought by the government.
He also said that the government was ready to exit if the country gets an outlet from the present deadlock.The Deputy Prime Minister had left for Indonesia on November 6 to take part in the conference.
