DPM Shrestha off to Indonesia

KATHMANDU, Nov 6: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Narayankaji Shrestha on Tuesday left for Indonesia to attend the Bali Democracy Forum to be held in the Island resort of Bali.



Talking to Republica, Shrestha said he would express Nepal´s commitment to strengthening democracy and also apprise leaders from various countries about the ongoing political and constitution drafting process in Nepal. Minister Shrestha will return home after participating in the event on November 9, a foreign ministry source said.[break]



The forum will be attended by representatives from 15 Asian countries. Shrestha will hold meetings with his counterparts from Indonesia, Japan and Thailand, among other countries, on the sidelines of the event.
