Dila Sangraula takes lead with 643 votes under open women category

KATHMANDU, March 12: The vote counting for the six quotas reserved for women under the 13th General Convention of the Nepali Congress is underway on Saturday.

According to the election committee, Dr. Dila Sangraula has taken  lead with 643 votes out of the 1300 votes counted till Saturday afternoon.


In the vote counting underway at the central party office in Sanepa, Pushpa Bhusal has secured 548 votes, Kamala Panta is in the third position with 459 votes.

Similarly, Ambika Basnet and Ishwari Neupane are in the fourth position with 410 votes,

Sarita Prasain in the fifth with 401 and Pramila Rai in sixth with 351 votes.

Likewise, Sita Khanal has obtained 343 votes, Manju Khand and Rukmini Koirala are in the eight positions with equal 328 votes. Uma Regmi and Mridula Koirala are in the ninth and tenth position with 272 and 228 votes respectively.
