KATHMANDU, April 18: The Home Ministry has recommended Deputy Inspector General of Armed Police Force(APF) Raju Aryal for the promotion to the post of Additional Inspector General.
A meeting of the Promotion Recommendation Committee of the Home Ministry on Sunday made the recommendation of DIG Aryal to the post of AIG. In terms of the hierarchy, DIG Aryal is on the top among three contenders for the post.

DIG Aryal has been recommended for the promotion to the vacant AIG post after the government on April 13 promoted Pushpa Ram KC to the post of Inspector General. His appointment as the APF chief followed the retirement of outgoing IG Shailendra Khanal.
