CHITWAN, Dec 25: When the authorities are still clueless on whereabouts of lovesick elephant ‘Dhrube’, Chief Warden of Chitwan National Park (CNP) Jhamak Bahadur Karki has been transferred to National Park and Wildlife Conservation Department. Karki has been replaced by Department’s Ecologist Maheshwor Dhakal.

“Karki has not been transferred. He is in Kathmandu for a training,” Department’s Director General Megh Bahadur Pandey informed. However, the training that Pandey was referring to has already concluded. [break]

‘Dhrube’ has been creating havoc in Chitwan by killing around 17 people within three months. Following protests from locals, administration already dispatched a team to kill ‘Dhrube’.
