KATHMANDU, Oct 26: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday increased marginally by 5.19 points to close at 2,509.04 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,503.85 points and had a steep fall of 33 points to 2,470.59 points in the first 23 minutes. The market added 15 points in the next one hour and remained almost stable for another two hours. The index steeply inclined in the last half an hour before the market closed for the day.

While life insurance secured the largest of 89.25 points, four other groups including ‘others’, trading, non-life insurance, and manufacturing and processing were recorded as in gainer lists. Of the eight losers, the hotels and tourism index plummeted by the highest of 34.41 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies declined 0.60 points. The daily turnover however declined to Rs 2.66 billion from Rs 3.27 billion.
Among the individual companies, 98 were gainers while 146 were recorded as losers. Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 324.96 million.
SBL Debenture 2089 was the topmost gainer. The share price of Taragaon Regency Hotel Limited had the highest fall of 7.16 percent.
