KATHMANDU, Nov 19: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday declined by 4.98 points to close at 2,561.08 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,566.07 points and escalated to the day’s high at 2,579.64 points in the first 11 minutes. In the next moment, the index went down gradually to reach the day’s low at 2,551.23 points, while the market recovered around 10 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

As hotels and tourism group gained the largest of 75.59 points, three others including manufacturing and processing, trading and mutual funds, were also listed in gainers. Of the nine losers, life insurance shed the highest of 68.88 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies declined 1.26 points. The daily turnover fell to Rs 3.77 billion from Rs 4.10 billion.
Among the individual companies, 77 were gainers while 170 were recorded as losers. Barun Hydropower Co Ltd had the largest turnover of Rs 274.04 million.
Corporate Development Bank Limited witnessed the highest fall of 6.03 percent of its market price. Two companies including Mabilung Energy Limited and Daramkhola Hydro Energy Limited were the topmost gainers of 10 percent.
