Dahal, Nepal feed sweets to each other to celebrate victory after SC verdict

KATHMANDU, Feb 23:  The chairmen duo of the rival faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal have celebrated their victory in Chitwan after the Supreme Court decided to reinstate the House of Representatives (HoR) that was dissolved by Prime Minister K P Oli.

KATHMANDU, Feb 23:  The chairmen duo of the rival faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal have celebrated their victory in Chitwan after the Supreme Court decided to reinstate the House of Representatives (HoR) that was dissolved by Prime Minister K P Oli.


Dahal and Nepal have reached Chitwan—the hometown of Dahal—to address a mass gathering organized by their faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) on Wednesday. Photos going viral in social media show the two leaders feeding sweets to each other to celebrate their victory.

Dahal’s daughter Ganga Dahal has shared photos of the two leaders feeding each other the sweets to celebrate the victory.


The Dahal-Nepal faction of the NCP has decided to convert the protest rally against the dissolution of the parliament as a victory rally in Chitwan on Wednesday following the apex court's verdict. Senior leaders of the Dahal-Nepal faction of the NCP have reached to address the victory rally.  


The rival faction of the NCP had earlier organized mass gatherings in various parts of the country to protest against the abrupt decision of Prime Minister Oli to dissolve the parliament.
