At the talks held at the Lazimpat residence of Chairman Dahal, NC President Koirala is said to have urged for the Maoist party´s support in formation of the national consensus government.[break]
Koirala argued that as both the UCPN (Maoist) and the CPN-UML have already twice led the government giving leadership of the new government to the NC would help facilitate the elections to the CA.
In response, Chairman Dahal urged Mr Koirala for his support in converting the present government into a national consensus one.
Talking to media persons following the meeting, NC President Koirala said he urged Chairman Dahal to support the formation of the national consensus government.
"Chairman Dahal also said that he would discuss my proposal within his party and respond accordingly", Koirala said.
The two leaders also agreed to work together for a way out to the present political crisis.
