KATHMANDU, Oct 21: Nepal Police’s Cyber Bureau has summoned lawyer Swagat Nepal for questioning over allegations of spreading misinformation against former Chief Justice and Prime Minister, Sushila Karki.

Nepal said that he received a phone call from the police on Monday, requesting him to visit the Cyber Bureau. 'I asked if I needed to come today or after Tihar. They told me I could come after Tihar, but requested that I not leave Kathmandu in the meantime,' he stated."
A practicing lawyer, Nepal is also a spokesperson for the Royalist movement. Police had previously arrested him on March 28 during activities related to the movement. Recently, he had criticized Karki, claiming she became Prime Minister despite the constitution not allowing it.
